Langton 1/1200 HM Cutter Sandwich

Here's the cutter Sandwich with her studsails set I put her next to the French third rate as a size comparison . She has brass sails and ratlines and is on a metal base .  Thanks for looking .

  1. I'm painting Langton's Renaissance ships and I must say that you're really talentuous, incredible job at this scale, love your gorgeous sails...

    1. Cheers Phil I use a few different colours on different ships but for what it's worth a good set of colours is Karki base German cammo beige and then bone white ( this is a very good colour for sails) I sometimes give them a wash in places with dark sand . Hope that helps .

    1. Hi Greg I use plastic bristles from wall paper brush (check for a brand that is not to cheap the bristles are not always straight) I use a brand called Diall bought from B and Q here in the U.K. . Cut some off get a piece of tape place the bristles on fold the tape over and press down . You can then prime them I have been useing grey car primer then getting a large brush and paint them a colour of your choice . But soon I will be going over to armry painter black and sand primer and leaving them as they are . Then cut along the edge of the tape offer a piece up snip it to length and super glue (I use gorilla glue gel )
      Hope that helps.
